First Sergeant Joshua M. Jones

First Sergeant Joshua M. Jones is a native of Southern, California. He enlisted into the Army in October 2002. He completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas as a 91R Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist.
1SG Jones’ assignments include Camp Zama, Japan; Fort Riley, Kansas; Fort Lewis, Washington; Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida; Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; and Camp Humphreys, South Korea. He has served in the leadership position of Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Senior Small Group Leader, and First Sergeant. He has deployed in support of Operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom.
1SG Jones is a graduate of PLDC, ALC, SLC, and MLC. He has completed military education courses to include Combat Life Saver Course, Master Resiliency Training Course, Common Faculty Development Instructor Course, and Unit Prevention Leader Course. He has an Associates in Applied Sciences; a Bachelor of Arts in Management form the city University of Seattle and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Project Management at the University of Seattle.
His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (8 OLC), the Basic Army Instructor Badge, and the Sergeant Audie Murphy Award.
1SG Jones is married to his wife Noriko, they have two boys Oscar and Skyler, and three toy poodles Falcor, Caramel, and Jaxon
