Public Health Activity-Japan, Okinawa Branch Food Inspection section provides continual food protection assessments and military sanitary inspections for 134 AAFES, DeCA, MWR, and Troop Feeding facilities across 13 installations in support of 80,000 DOD personnel and their families. In addition, the section is responsible for all aspects of veterinary food inspection operations to include Veterinary Service Information Management System (VSIMS) database, Installation Support Plan (ISP) agreements, ALFOODACTS, Government of Japan reporting to headquarters, shelf-life extensions, and customer complaints.

We do not provide after hour emergency services and recommend that you utilize an off base facility in the event of an emergency.

Off Base Veterinary Hospitals

Please be advised that we are not always informed of the most up to date policies and procedures of off-base clinics. Some clinics may refuse multiple vaccinations in one visit, and require a return visit.  In addition, only a few off-base clinics carry the Bordetella vaccine. Please be advised that if you are boarding your pet at Karing Kennels, they only accept certain Bordetella vaccines.

Drive south bound on the 75, towards KAB. Driving past the McDonald's, continue to the light with the A & W. At the stop light make a left hand turn towards the Family Mart. Continue down the road to the first stop light. Midori Animal Hospital is just past the second right after the stop light. It is a white two-story building with green lettering above the door, and a small field off to the side.
Directions from McTureous:
Turn right onto the 8 and continue to the 75, the corner has a Lawson store. Make a left turn at the stop light onto the 75. Continue to the stop light that has the A & W, and make a right hand turn towards the Family Mart. Continue down the road to the first stop light. Midori Animal Hospital is just past the second right after the stop light. It is a white two-story building with green lettering above the door, and a small field to the side.

Directions: Drive south bound on the 58 towards the Naha Airport. Where the road splits to the airport keep to the left of the road and continue onto the 331. Keep left where the 331 forks. Continue driving past the police station. Continue past the stop light after the police station. Ryukyu Animal Hospital is shortly after the stop light. It is a white building with a red roof. The roof has red and blue writing on it that can be seen from the street, and a sign pointing into the parking area.

Directions: Out Gate 2 Kadena, straight through the four corners intersection (blue overpass), go down the hill to Route 329 and keep going south to Naha area. Sakura Pet Clinic will be on your left before the Naha Expressway. If you continue south and meet the Naha Expressway, you have gone too far.

Anju Animal Hospital is across from the post office in a white four-story building.

Turn left onto the 35 and continue until the road ends at the 29. Make a right hand turn onto the 29 and continue driving south. Anesis Pet Clinic is on the right hand side of the road. The facility's name is on the front of the building written in green.

Follow the road until it ends. There will be a CoCo's bakery on the right side of the street. Urasoe’s Pet Clinic is across the street from CoCo's, there should be a small parking area next to the building.
