LTC Robbins is a native of Texas. He enlisted in the Army in 1995 and in 2002 was selected into the AMEDD Enlisted Commissioning Program and earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in 2004. LTC Robbins also holds an Executive Juris Doctorate from Concord Law School, Masters in Military Arts and Science from Command General and Staff College (CGSC), and Masters of Science in Nursing from UTHSCSA.

LTC Robbins is married to the former Maricris Dela Cruz. They have four beautiful daughters, Jenna, Makayla, Maria, Jaya and Kana, their fun-loving Samoyed.
