Sergeant Major Hailey’s most recent assignment was Student for the United States Sergeant Major Academy at Fort Bliss, Texas.

Born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, SGM Hailey enlisted in the United States Army on 23 January 1996. His civilian education includes an Associate of Arts Degree from Columbia College, Columbia, Missouri, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Columbia College, Columbia, and a Master of Science Degree from Excelsior College, Albany, New York.  
SGM Hailey’s military schools include United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, First Sergeant Pre-Command Course, Senior Leader Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Mobile Retention Training Course, Master Resiliency Trainer Course, and Unit Prevention Leader Course.

SGM Hailey is married to Rosalinda S. Hailey; they have a 22-year-old daughter and 21-year-old son who is serving in the Army.  His hobbies include camping, fishing, coaching, soccer, flag football, and baseball.
